Founder, Ashley January

Ashley holds an MFA in Painting from Laguna College of Art and Design, Laguna Beach, CA and a BS in Communication with an Advertising concentration and Minor in Studio Art from Bradley University, Peoria, IL.

In creating a mission-based artist practice, The Studio Space is a multi-functional working studio and arts incubator. The space facilitates programming throughout the year by highlighting underrepresented voices within the art and social justice communities. Bringing art activations, panel discussions, performances, exhibitions, workshops and more to the Southside of Chicago and more specifically to the community of Beverly, creates a platform for local artists and not-for-profits.
