The Studio Space celebrated Black Maternal Health Week by hosting a private class session with University of Chicago’s Public Health Sciences professor, Dr. Rebekah Israel Cross and her class. I was honored to be featured on the Black Maternal Health Equity panel alongside Doula, Zetanefert Zipewtu and Midwife, Star August.

Cultivating Care For Black Mothers: A Panel On The Intersection of Art and Healthcare

In partnership with the Women’s Caucus for Art, The Studio Space hosted a panel of distinguished experts to explore the vital intersection of art and healthcare.

The speakers brought a wealth of academic and professional insight to the table, addressing the historical context of maternal care, the systemic threats facing Black mothers in today’s climate, and the ways in which art serves as a catalyst for both healing and policy change.

The Baby Roland Foundation hosted their annual diaper drive at The Studio Space in honor of Prematurity Awareness month. The event included a holistic yoga session for mothers who have experienced loss, while providing an on-site grief counselor.

The Studio Space hosted its inaugural grand opening coinciding with the 12th Annual Beverly Art Walk. Hundreds of Beverly residents and families gathered to show their support and interest in the opening of the cultural community arts incubator.
